About IATF16949
IATF16949 is jointly issued by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) and ISO. It is the most authoritative quality management system standard in the global automotive industry. This standard is based on ISO9001, but adds stringent requirements unique to the automotive industry, including product safety, defect prevention, traceability management, etc. Its certification body must obtain special approval from the IATF, and only a few organizations in the world are qualified to issue it.
International market value
IATF16949 is the mandatory access standard for entering the global automotive supply chain. All major automobile manufacturers in the world (including Tesla, Volkswagen, Toyota, General Motors, etc.) require their first-tier suppliers to pass IATF16949 certification. Obtaining this certification means that Desen Power’s quality management system has reached the highest standards of the international automobile industry, and it can officially participate in global procurement competition in high-end markets such as new energy vehicles and charging piles. The review period for this certification lasts 6 to 9 months, and the pass rate is less than 60%.
